Melissa sees design as a balance between creativity and intention, where every detail has a purpose and shapes the way people think, feel, and connect with something.

Throughout the program, Melissa discovered how impactful thoughtful design can be, especially through projects that challenged her to think beyond aesthetics and address larger ideas.

Melissa is especially proud of the mural she created for the John Rhodes Community Centre, which explored marine life and underwater ecosystems while giving her the opportunity to work on a larger scale and create something meaningful for a public space.
